Some people have done that, poked the plastic Screen out carefully not to harm the frame and actually and put a seen protector on it. I let it go and it bothered me for two or three days, now I don't even know it's on..:D

It doesn't bother me too much. Only outside in direct sunlight.

It just gets so dusty and is hard to whipe off finger prints and have a crystal clear scree.

I've got the Otterbox Defender, but I think I'm going to try the Commuter. I keep missing the notification window because I cant get high enough on the display without my thumb hitting the case....

That happens to me too. Lol. And when trying to copy text that starts at the egde of the screen.

I love the case. Every phone I had before this they never came out with one. So I'm happy.

I like the commuter too though. Might pick one up but this is really what I need when I need a case. Otherwise go naked.

Otterbox Commuter. It adds a bit of bulk, so during the week I keep her naked, and dress her up on weekends when she's bumping around a bit more.

I also have the Diztronic, but I don't use it as often because it doesn't have that 'grip' that this one has to it.

Naked :-)

I'm not a case kind of guy I guess.

I like TPU cases...this particular one covers camera pretty well unlike some other TPU cases on the market...I also have this in black...

Which case is this? Does the white get dirty fast? If so, does it clean up well and what do you use to clean it? I have the white Cruzerlite and it's difficult to keep clean.

Oh man, you're just the person I need to talk to! I was trying to decide between ordering one of those exact two cases you have the other day. I don't use a case because I can't stand losing the incredibly thinness of this phone, but I tried out a smokey/clear CPU case at bestbuy and it actually kept the shape and slimness very well. Of the Diztronic and that waffle case are both relatively thin, but which, in your opinion, keeps closest the original shape and thinness of the phone?

What brand and where did you get it?

That happens to be the one case I have. It's a "Cimo Gloss Back Flexible TPU Case". I love it because it makes the phone look like a OneX (really does), and it adds a fantastic grip. The slick coating feels great actually, and I haven't noticed it get dirty at all (it's so slick it feels like nothing could possible stick to it). Sliding in and out of one's pocket is easy.

However, I only rarely find myself putting it on the phone because while it looks and feels nice, it makes the phone considerably thicker. Not "thick" by any means, but nothing worthy of any "wow" value. Few things amaze me more than simply looking at this phone from the side. The flat-ness, the brushed aluminum, the red strip, thinness...they make me really happy. Totally lose that with this case.

Oh! And the buttons don't have cutouts, so pressing the power button is kind of tough and often results in me pressing several of the volume buttons because of having to put a stronger grip on the phone to force the power button down. You also practically lose the "half press" camera key, as it's really hard to feel it through the thick coat of plastic on top. Lastly, the USB cutout is fairy deep. I have to take the case off to plug my cable in.

I would say that, in reality, they are about the same thickness. However, in terms of feel and shape, I would have to go with the Diztronic. The Ventev waffle case feels thicker and feels like it has more cushion because it has more of that 'gel' feel ... in contrast, the Diztronic has more of a hard, matte feel. I use the Ventev more because it has that grip to it that I like in a case and it just feels good in my hand. With the Diztronic, it looks good, but I always felt like I had to keep a steady grip on it to keep it from slipping out of my hand.

But, I know what you mean about wanting to keep it out of the case. It looks so good naked.

Shadnic, you may want to check out the Cruzerlite Androidified TPU case in translucent smoke color like I have. It has cut outs for the buttons. Has a slim presence on the phone I think. I like that the aluminum band is fully visible thru the case. Too scared to carry it around naked!

Otterbox defender case, it fits very well like a glove and gives me the total protection I need.;)

How much bulkier does it make the EVO?

I am using the Case-Mate BarelyThere case.

Case-Mate HTC Evo 4G LTE Barely There Cases (Case-Mate HTCEVOLTEBT), HTC EVO 4G LTE Cases, Covers, Skins by Case-mate

I tried the Diztronic, and while the fit, protection and price(!) is really good, there were some weird sharpish edges between the matte back and polished lip that were bugging me a little while I was holding it. I didn't think they were a deal-breaker or anything, but were more just annoying.

The Case-Mate doesn't protect the top and bottom edges all that well, and popping out the kickstand can be a bit of a b*tch (as long as you have a little bit of fingernail you'll be OK), but it's really low-profile so the thinness of the phone itself isn't ruined, and the matte material feels great.

This one is glossy TPU and it doesn't get dirty that much...never had to clean it, but wet towel or widex should clean it with no problems...I've only had it for 2 weeks but looks like it will be fine....hey it was only $8 from amazon...best feature is it covers camera better than most others
