What device did you come from just before getting a Note8?

I came from iPhone 8+. I have a pixel 2xl coming next week. it will be hard to move off of this note

I'm very happy with the Note 8. Can't imagine something being better than this device.

Bought a Note 3 when it was released. Used it for 2 years with no issues and loved it. I was intrigued with the LG V10 when it came out so bought that and skipped the Note 5. Well 2 warranty claims and 3 V10s later I finally became eligible for another upgrade. Was torn between the Note 8 and LG V30. After my issues with the V10 (overheating, buttons sticking, even worse overheating with severe battery drain) I decided to go with the Note 8. Absolutely no regrets with my decision. Loving this phone with one minor exception. After the V10 I just cannot get used to the fingerprint scanner placement where it is. Other than that I love this phone!

same here in Ireland and I didn't think N5 offered enough to justify importing one, then the N7 got the 2nd recall pretty much same day as it was finally released here.
Needless to say, after that I just WANTED the Note8 no matter what and as early as possible so pre-order from Amazon.co.uk it was, expensive but I have no regrets

My last phone was the N3. The N8 was pre-ordered, unlike any other phone I ordered a few months after its release, because I waited for early production issues to get ironed out. With the N7 fiasco, I was confident that Samsung had to get the N8 right out of the starting gate. I wasn't disappointed. This phone exceeds all my expectations.

I had a hard time transfering my iCloud photo library though.
I will never come back to Apple again.
