what devices are getting gingerbread?

Here's hoping that the Incredible will get a Gingerbread update sometime in the near future. I know the Incredible is nearing end of life, but I'm still cautiously hopeful that Verizon/HTC will release an update. I would root my phone and instal a Gingerbread rom, but I'm a smartphone newbie and I'm afraid that I'll only end up turning my nice new Droid Incredible into an expensive, useless brick. Besides, I don't want to void the warranty.

If you prepare yourself correctly(installing clockworkmod), etc.. it's pretty much impossible to brick a device.

I hope Google doesn't set some demanding minimum specs otherwise that'll mean that my Samsung Intercept (Froyo on Sprint) will not get the update. I really want Gingerbread as I'm sure all the rest of you in this forum.
