Gingerbread for Nexus One?
How about the Nexus One? I've been waiting and my patience is getting short.

I bailed from Palm too and am hoping my EVO (which came with Froyo) will get Gingerbread.
Because they were developed with 2.2 and waiting to get it out with 2.3 would take months and by then the next version may be out. So get it out now and start developing. Why are the new phones coming out loaded with 2.2 rather than 2.3? Will we at least be able to upgrade the Bionic to 2.3 or 3.0?
Google releases their code base for android and developers like htc, samsung and motorola have to modify and tweak that code to work on their devices with their interface. That is why not every device gets it at the same time.
Is anyone still questioning why Google is releasing these updates so quickly? As soon as Gingerbread and the Nexus S were announced they just instantly started talking about the Xoom and Android 3.0(Honeycomb). Then we got word of Ice Cream, and still not one person even knows if Honeycomb is tablet only, there isn't even a release date for Honeycomb or anything, because maybe Honeycomb is just software for tablets in the coming months.

Here's hoping I made the right choice of HTC over Samsung with the Shift.
