What do you Dislike about the GB update

I was experiencing similar issues when I updated mine to GB. All you need to do is a Reset the phone back to manufacturer settings and problem will be resolved.

The reason you experience lag is because the 2.3.4 sat on top of your old system files and caused compatibility issues.

I upgraded from 4.1.83 to the latest update, and have no lag issues. In fact the scrolling is a lot smoother, and so far the battery seems as least as good if not a tad better.

for some reason my facebook contacts are no longer syncing. not all of the pictures appear- and i can no longer add a phone number to a facebook contact- in the past with froyo i could

it is annoying because im trying to re-link some contacts- and they arent even showing up!

its funny none of you have noticed this before. and yes i am new to these forums but i have been reading allot on the motorola forums lately about how people are starting to feel about the new (phil) blur.

first of all i love the new framework so their is nothing to complain about in that category.
im digging the new blue feel along with the loading animation.

but why the hell was this update not a direct copy and paste of the DROID 3's firmware?! is it because Verizon may have some exclusivity with that version of blur or was that firmware made just for the Texas instrument chip-set? i just don't get it. alot of the stuff on droid 3 could have been ported straight over to the atrix like the lock-screen and the home-screen page transition the resembles the xoom. oh well those are just the little things. now onto the big things im mad about in this update

1. why does YouTube totally freeze my atrix into a cr&* shoot whenever i want to view some music? what happens is the touchscreen becomes unresponsive and the 4 buttons on the bottom wont let me back out of it. also the damn power button freezes also. and get this it wont unfreeze if i put it in the charging dock. so i have to resort to pulling out the battery and popping it back in. i hope this will get fixed really soon. could it be because i am using apple headphones? i just don't know.
2. whats up with the shameless use of space with app and widget icons on the home screen? why space them so far apart that you have to sacrifice to make room for what you want? why not have a grid size option like in launcher pro? you don't need one app taking up the size of an icecube thats just pointless. motorola there is tons of space on the home screen so let us use it for peets sake.
3. why not have pages in the app drawer just like the droid 3? i hate toilet paper scrolling to find the things i want. it ends up taking longer to find my apps then it does to load them
4. why all this lag on a tegra 2? when did widgets become unhealthy for blur? oh what is my atrix suppose to act more like my cruddy pc in the first place?

No longer have paste from Clipboard. That kinda sucks. Been looking at clipboard aps but there has to be one that works within other apps like it was prior to the update.

Found that it loves to screw up your apps that launch.

My text mess now opens my contact list. Only way to get it to go back to normal is to reboot the phone. Prior to that it made one of my folders with several apps no able to open.

I haven't faced anything to dislike but I do believe the home screening switching has gotten slower.

the two most important things I was looking for in updage were improved battery life and no more overheating. and the phone does just the exact opposite thing it overheats even more and battery life significantly degraded! wtf???? cant they get it right at least once!?!
on a side note went to bestbuy yesterday to ask for att nexus s but then later learned it doesnt have a memory card slot.... i dont even know which phone should I get at this point...

Oh.....I thought you would've known about the lack of the memory card slot. That's a deal-breaker for some.

Maybe you oughtta wait for the GS2? I know you're not a fan of the screen, but it's likely to be a hella powerful device. And "Touch Whiz" isn't as heavy-handed as Moto's.

well I've read a lot about how slow samsung is with updating their phones. so I really was looking into getting a Nexus S to always have timely updates and pure google experience. but the lack of sdcard is really a dealbreaker for me. I think I'll stick with Atrix for now... after all i bought two spare batteries for it and a seidio active x case which wasn"t cheap either.. One thing I must say though. Motorola seem to fixed the fingerprint scanner issue. ever since the update it didnt fail even once. and is very responsive. thanks for suggestion though!

same here. it lags for about 3 secs... I actually suspect that the problem is in moto gallery itself. it sucks and when I zoom in or out the pictures they lag as hell. I'm using Gallery3D available from the market which is I think the native gingerbread(and froyo too) gallery. so I was wondering if there is any way to set that gallery as a default one even when taking pictures. then I believe there would be no lag.

2. Auto-complete does not know when enough is enough! In the previous version, auto-complete would make one attempt. If you back spaced again to the word it would leave it alone. Now it wants to correct the word non-stop unless you add it into your dictionary.

3. Battery status a little deeper. Now you have to dig a little deeper to find battery life status.

4. Gallery is totally dorked up! I had my gallery painstakingly organized into folders of various degrees of content. I wanted to show content to some of my content sources without seeing other content sources. Now I have to keep my content closey guarded until I complete my sorting.

5. Navigating to home just a swipe and swipe and swipe and swipe away! I guess I need to get used to using the home button inside of one swipe and home.

for:
#2 disable autocomplete,. I did, and have no probs whatsoever. as well as capitalization and everything that is in there.

#3 get Battery Monitor Widget Pro. from the market. very lightweight app that perfectly monitors all battery consumption.

#4 never used stock motorola gallery from day one I got the phone. gallery 3D from the market is the best.

does anyone have their keyboard crashing occasionaly? it gives me an error message and then closes but recovers immediatly though.. still very annoying at times...

Don't have an Atrix but from my experience, it seems things just don't work 100% if it didn't come with it originally. I wonder if some of the lag issues and other problems could be corrected if you first wipe the phone, then upgrade to GB, then put back apps, etc. one at a time to see where the problems start...if they start up again.
