Now that it is here, thousands are reading these threads to see if the Bionic is worth the jump. What do you like about the phone? What stands out and makes it versatile?

I came from the droid 1. My top reasons.

Got a KILLER deal @ costco. I would have probably waited otherwise.
But things I like about the phone...
-Blazing fast 4G /w good battery life
-Good specs
-Responsive fluid UI
-Look and feel in hand - both excellent
-Crystal clear voice calls
-Able to root in future

Theres my list

Not everyone, thats why the, What don't you like thread, is longer than this one. Lol

Obviously it has nothing to do with this thread being a few hours old. I had no intentions of keeping it for 2 years, but I am incredibly happy to use it until we see some true next-gen phones. I love everything but Moto's keyboard. It is pretty unintuitive. If anyone has a good recommendation for a different keyboard, I would be happy to try it out.

Swype is preloaded. I prefer Swiftkey X, however.

Everyone's going to say it's fast as hell and has pretty good battery life.

the battery life thread is filled with people complaining about the battery life on this phone. some have regularly been getting as little as 5-6 hrs with light/moderate usage

I really love the speed of the device, both the hardware itself and the 4G speed. I was also pleasantly surprised by how light and relatively small this phone is despite the fact that it's an LTE phone. I don't plan on keeping it for the full 2 years, but I definitely think it'll be with me longer than my previous phones (I've had 6 phones this year before picking up the Bionic).

1. Very fast, gorgeous UI that is butter smooth.
2. Excellent voice quality on calls both ear and speakerphone.
3. Love the big screen and overall size of the phone.

It has a few small features that I really like, such as...
4. Cutting/Copying text is now done with two movable sliders. Much nicer than the OG Droid.
5. You can program the power button to end a call. I REALLY like having a hard button to end a call! My OG Droid would occasionally not turn the screen on after taking it away from your head, or worse yet, just have the dial screen disappear leaving me no way to hang up. Really happy to have found this feature:)
6. There is a headphone (line out) jack in the home charging cradle. This allows me to leave headsets plugged into it at all times. Great for listening to music at night. Also, the alarm mutes the headphones and still plays through the speakers. Speaking of alarms...
7. The alarm now has a ramp-up-volume feature. It starts soft and keeps getting louder, eventually going to a very loud beeping if you don't respond. Also the snooze feature is better.
8. 1080p video is pretty darn good for a phone.
9. The touch on the Gorilla Glass is exceptional. Silky smooth feel and very responsive.
10. It is not an iPhone!:D

Forgot to mention that one of the main reasons I got the Bionic (besides Costco's excellent deal) was for the lapdock. I haven't purchased it yet as I am waiting for the price to drop a bit, but this is the one feature none of the next round of phones will likely have and having a 4G netbook with unlimited data and no tethering fee is very appealing to me.

I like the tv dock that is available. It seems many cool things can be done in the name of fun or business that way.

48 hours in and I am still really enjoying the phone. Here is what I like most.

1. The phone is fast, LTE is fantastic. Full websites with flash content are loading almost as fast as my Macbook. The combo makes for a great browsing experience on the phone.

2. ZumoCast has been a surprise for me and could be a killer app for me. I love that it actually works well with my mac. I have had no problems streaming video and audio from my mac to the phone over
4g.

3. The battery has been acceptable for me so far. With light to moderate use I have been at 20% after 15hrs of use. The real test will be today when I am at work and not in range of Wi-Fi.

4. The overall build quality of my phone is great. Everything is tight, no light leaks, gorilla glass is great. While the phone is plastic, it has a high quality feel to it. The back battery cover does feel flimsy, but when on the phone it is solid and the soft touch finish feels nice.

5. My phone has been fairly stable. No re-boots that I am aware of and only a couple of app crashes.

6. The display is not perfect, but it has not bothered me either.

I like the haptic feedback. I love the OS is smooth. I love the extra battery and dock! I love dual core omaps. I love the fact Verizon gave me this device with my unlimited data plan, and threw in the unlimited hotspot for 30 bucks a month. Hell yes, i can run the house on 4G and not count! Back to studying, more to come.......ahhhh:) And to my surprise, HD life images look great with this matrix. I love how it pops, and when i turned the bionic screen down along side my X, it looked better. I was in sprint and thought personally, the qHD looks better than the epic 4G. Happy!

I love the phone the only drawback is the battery life but that is always the case with smart phones at least until you learn enough to control it i am getting currently about 10 hours with moderate use.
