Sensation Dislikes...?
vdfoso.jpg

Now that this phone is out in some of our hands, I am just wondering is there any feature that you don't like or is there something that you wish you had on this phone that is not there? What don't you like about your Sensation? Are there any suggestions on what needs improvement? Thanks all.

i absolutely love the phone the only thing that im really sad about is the battery!!! By 12pm the battery will be about 40%

I haven't had any battery issues like you. In fact it took a long time to charge but after the full charge I haven't gotten it below 50% with normal use all day. Love this phone.

If it had a big beefy camera button like the EVO 3D it would be perfect.

yeah i noticed the phone takes a long time to charge, maybe its just my unit, im kinda hoping it is because i really like the phone a lot but the short battery might be a deal breaker.

I noticed the long charging time too! I got it yesterday & I quickly depleted what was left of the juice & then charged it all the way. It took a couple hours. Today I seem to be getting excellent battery life! Granted, I haven't gotten to play with it much today because I'm back at work, but it's been unplugged for about 4 hours & it's still at 99% battery. I've sent/received about 15 texts, sent an email, spent about 10 minutes browsing the web, and tinkered with some settings.

I didn't see this thread before I started my own, but the HTC Music player is terrible. Just got the invite to the Google Music beta so I'm going to give that a shot... If I don't like it, I'm sticking to Amazon mp3 and Winamp.

Also, Chuzzle doesn't work right! That's sad. I'm not sure if it's because of the 16:9 widescreen, but the game shows up all squished in the top left corner of the screen. It's impossible to play. Haven't noticed this with any other programs.

Just noticed when I restarted the phone that the icons for any apps on the SD card aren't showing on the home screens. The apps work fine, it's just showing the default Android icon instead of the app's icons. I noticed this on my Nexus One when it restarted, but the normal icons would show up after a few moments. Anyone else noticed this?

I haven't had any battery issues so far, but we'll see what happens when I start using it more.

love this phone to pieces.but the the reviews about the speaker were true,it kinda sucks..i didnt throw in headphones yet but im sure it will sound 10x better...

I'm starting to wish they went for a more conventional construction method instead of the 'darth vader helmet' style that leaves a huge amount of the internals exposed. The way its built its going to accumulate a LOT of dust, and unless they've gone further than usual to seal the screen, this is going to result in a lot of dust getting in. Its a unique build, to be sure, but I don't know if its any better for it.

Define "huge amount of the internals"

All the pics I've seen (I've yet to go look at one in person) suggests that it doesn't leave any more of a gap than a standard battery cover does. Or are you just concerned because the seam where the cover meets the phone is also the edge of the glass?

I dislike how damn sexy this phone is. Everytime I look at it I feel compelled to pick it up and stroke its' backside. I can't pick it up without marveling at how good it looks. :P

More concerned about the seam that meets the edge of the glass, as well as how much is exposed. For this type of construction I was sort of surprised it wasn't more sealed off. I'm concerned about dust getting in the screen, because from the short time I've had it I've noticed how much collects underneath where the ear piece is.

I've had the apps icons disappear as well. I'm new to Android, so I thought it might be normal. Re: Music players, I had fun yesterday when I accidentally started WinAmp and the Music player at the same time...I heard Nirvana and Prince at the same time! Pretty funny.

Re: battery - I agree, it's pretty low. I expected it to be less than an iPhone, but it runs out fairly fast. Maybe I'll try draining it fully and charging (off) fully for a night to see if it improves.

this may sound silly but... I don't like the calculator.

it's ugly.

big huge numbers that don't quite fit right in their boxes... looks weird.

other issue I'm having now is I go over to Yahoo to check my mail, I have the mobile view off, have the main page set to desktop view, yet when I log onto check mail it sends me to mobile view anyway...

I've cleared cache, cookie, data form, everything but nothing is working.

not sure why it's not letting me log into my mail box as regular desktop view...

I hate mobile version!

anyway, side from those, I love this phone!!! :D

I don't like the Music Player either - my issue is that it plays tracks in the wrong order. I have most of my music as WMAs - the player lists the songs in the correct order when you look at the albums but plays them by track name or something . I had purchased PowerAmp to use on my N1 (which sadly got stolen :() so I'm back to that for now. Just miss the nice lock screen widget of the stock HTC Music player.

I've also experienced the icon issue when apps are moved to the SD card - hope they come up with a fix for that soon. Not sure if it's the app developers of HTC who need to do something.

My battery doesn't seem to be lasting long at all - might need to do a full drain and recharge though. Does anyone know if there's a way to reset the battery meter on the Sensation similar to the N1?

And as I was concerned about, I already have dust underneath the screen. It's only one speck for now, but I've only had the phone for two damn days!

Got mine about 4 hours ago and I love everything except the RIDICULOUS speakerphone. It's a complete joke. You can't even call it a speakerphone lol.

Bahaha after some careful tapping I was able to dislodge the dust. Noticed a tiny nick in the screen too. Screen protectors need to come soon!

When I got my Sensation tonight I got a screen protector and silicone case from the T-Mobile store. The screen protector isn't that great though but still better than nothing. It was free since I bought a silicone case.
