What do you love/hate about your Note 5 so far compared to your previous device?

I'm coming from a Lumia 1020 and I must say this phone is far superior in about every way. The two things that most impress me are the camera speed and the fact that I can now hear people on the other end of the line. I can take 5 pictures with the Note 5 in the time it would take the Lumia just to get ready, and another 5 on the Samsung in the time it would take the Lumia to save it's photo. As for hearing people, during the last couple of years, I though I was losing my hearing due to having to ask everyone to repeat themselves on the phone, but I now know it was just the Lumia. Goodbye Lumia and Windows, Hello Android and Samsung.

The app drawer on the Note4 allowed me to create folders and hide apps that I didn't want to uninstall, can't do either on the Note 5.
.

Actually you can. Choose "edit", drag and drop the first into the other app and it creates a folder. Rename, etc., and you have a folder for unused or unliked apps.

I miss the left soft key long press for menu options, but someone here found a workaround so I will check that out..

.

It's now on the right side, the back button. I had to learn that as my S5 was on the left side too.

I came from a Note 3...

I love the screen, new TouchWiz UI, and the option to change themes. I also like the new keyboard look, as well as the awesome camera.

What I don't like is the new Calendar.. there doesn't seem to be a quick sync option for my work calendar..matter of fact, my work calendar (Exchange) is not showing up under the calendar options at all.

I put my exchange calender behind Knox. There is an option to share calendar and other choices with personal side. Work can't see personal stuff.

for #2:
change the grid size and they get bigger, right? Long press on a blank space on your home screen and choose grid size. I think when you go with a smaller grid, everything gets bigger.

Hey man, thanks! It didn't change the google search but it did make the icons bigger which is want I wanted :)

Anyone know how to get rid of the folder with apps from Samsung, Google and Microsoft at the top when you click apps? I just don't want folders up there.

I love this phone. My only concern is how slippery. I'm getting this case but I hope it doesn't make it to bulky.

Slippery, yes. I also find it to get quite warm. Not uncomfortable, but definitely some warmth. Will most likely fit some sort of case.

In apps menu click edit then click on the folder it'll give option to delete folder. . It won't delete the apps.. just the folder. .

Love it all, only dislike which is normal due to the resolution is that some text is sooo small! Smaller than the Note 4. the status bar on top is tiny to read your clock and battery percentage, and the toggle switches as well (ios allowed you to enlarge the top status bar, now i hate iphones but this phone really needs that feature). Yes you can enlarge the font size but it doesn't affect the entire phone system.

Just changed from a Note 3 to the Note 5. I've had the normal problems finding where things have moved. But getting past that in the last 2 days, I love the built-in flashlight in the notifications area. (Maybe it was on the Note 4 which I skipped) Then although its taking some getting used to, I'm liking the 5-across icon field (EXCEPT it's making my favorite time-date-temp widget kind of funky being only 4 icons wide). One annoying change is changing the bottom left frame button from a menu to "display all active apps" that used to be on a long press of the home button. But I'm sure I'll get used to the long press on any open space on the screen(?) (Again maybe a Note4 change?) My issues are mostly with my launcher -- GO Launcher Z, which I've used and liked ever since my old Samsung Droid. It's the same version as on my Note 3, but shortcuts have changed. I cannot figure out how to create an icon to tap which calls someone, or another which - when tapped - sets up a text to another. All I can find now is a shortcut to display a contact. Big whoop! That was never hard anyway. I've got folks (wife,e.g.) whom I call often and I want to do it with one tap. Is that too much to ask?
