I was pretty underwhelmed by the 6S and 6S+ but I'm willing to see how they do in user hands before I pass final judgement. Sadly any actual Apple user communities out there are generally useless for finding answers because they're all on break from being cast extras on The Walking Dead.
Main points:
1. My main interest in an iPhone was originally camera during the 5, 5s generation but now several Android OEM's have surpassed iPhone
2. Instant updates aren't as attractive anymore since year after year Android running one version behind has proven a far more capable OS for numerous tasks than a current version of iOS and that hasn't changed this time around either.
3. While Android still has it's occasional stutter, it's smoothed out enough nowadays that the difference is negligible. The better you get at picking a well optimized brand to buy, the better the experience you have is.
4. Community support. The number and quality of Android communities and blogs is better than Apple sites by leaps and bounds in terms of knowledge, quality of members, and professionalism of staff. Android Central, XDA Developers, Phandroid, Android Authority and many others I haven't named provide a much better community experience than you will find at any currently popular Apple fan sites, of which there are really only a couple worth noting.
5. Really the only thing worth noticing about the 6S is "3d touch". I watched the entire keynote with a sense that more would be announced. When it wasn't my reaction was "okaaay...? And....?" except there was no "and". And 3d touch IMO is a very minor and forgettable feature, much like notification panel "widgets" and sketchy 3rd party keyboards was last year. Disappointing.
