They probably will in a couple months but Google is good about updating their devices so if you buy one it will stay valid for about two years.

All devices are eventually discontinued, usually when they become so outdated nobody wants to buy them. That doesn't mean they're no longer supported. So no matter what you buy, it's going to be outdated in a few months anyway. If you like it, it suits your needs, and you get a good price...buy it. The Nexus 7 will be supported for quite a long time, including updates. So this really shouldn't be a big issue. If you keep waiting on the "latest and greatest," you'll never get a device.
