Actually I rarely use it however there are times where I need to circle something in a text/picture. That is why the pen is worth it's weight in gold.

i use it a lot like a mouse, scrolling and going through apps.

i also take and keep a lot of notes, and on the fly the screen off memo is very handy. i am hoping to be able to put action memo on the note8 somehow, because i loved having sticky notes on my screen.

i like being able to highlight articles that i send to someone, or even my weather radar screens to point out the path of a severe storm.

the spen is something that drew me to the note when the note2 came out. i didnt use it everyday, but almost. its worth having, for me, instead of just staying w my s8plus.
