What does (No subject) mean on a sent text message

[Android Central Question]

Hi there, I hope someone can help. I’ve sent numerous text messages to a contact and noticed that when I click on the messaging icon it is not showing the written text of the message and instead it shows (No subject) under the contacts name. I’ve a Huawei Y7 (2018). Does this mean they’ve not seen the messages? Do you know how I can correct this? Many thanks.
