What does the icon that looks like an ear mean?

There's an icon that looks like an ear next to the GPS icon at the top of the phone....What does it mean? What do ya call that area (top) of the phone the taskbar? HJ

Not sure which icon it its that looks like an ear, but if you go into your apps and open the HTC Mobile Guide, then click the "Viewing the Display Screen" link, it'll bring up a table showing all of the icons and their meanings. Hopefully you can find it there.

page 13 is the start of the different icons.. and the top bar is the "status bar"

It's supposed to be a satellite. It's your gps lock.

You must have the hearing aid option checked, it makes the speaker louder(being serious).

I have it checked, makes a nice boost in speaker volume.

It is the "Call" option. Thanks! That will help my hearing aid wearing friend.
