What exactly about ICS is so enticing?

Bloat freeze ability is awesome. You can "disable" any app. Disabled apps no longer run at all and they don't show up in the app tray. Goodbye Verizon crap apps. of it.

Do you think Verizon will have something to say about this? This is the only thing keeping me from switching to Verizon is all their bloatware and it not being able to be disabled/removed. The rezound would be the phone I choose if I made the switch cause I like HTC's build quality and sense.

Has it been confirmed that HTC is not removing the disable app feature from ICS? I could easily see them doing so.

The leaked ICS that came out earlier this month did have the disable app feature. I haven't seen any official documentation from HTC, so of course, it is possible that they might remove it from the final OTA build.

Man I hope not! It's about time users have the option to do something with the bloat that the carriers ram down our throats without root.

Coming from WebOS, what I'm looking forward to is Matias Duarte's touch on the OS. In particular, I'm looking forward to multitasking that actually works, smoothly, rather than the close-and-reopen clunkiness that I'm experiencing with 2.3.4.

I too have come from webOS and was looking forward to the multitasking in ICS. Since I updated my Rezound with the ICS leak, when you hold down the hold button instead of icons, tiles are shown of the latest apps you have visited. You can swipe to remove, but it doesn't mean that it will close the app.

Nothing is like the webOS multitasking experience. Even in ICS, it is still the close-and-reopen clunkiness as you put it.

GB kept dropping BT link with my Ford SYNC mid-call. Dangerous.

Squirt 4.03 into my Rezound and - drum roll - problem solved.

Not the same as scrolling, but in GB, holding down the home button will list the last 8 apps open. This is also shown in the notification bar.

Yes, I did know that. I meant the list with windows that you can swipe away to close the app. I like that feature.

Another cool feature of ICS is you can access your notifications pull down from the lockscreen.

On GB and down you had to unlock your phone first to do so.

I am just curious, for those who want ICS, what is the main reason you wan it? Is it because it is the latest software? Or is there some feature in it that you want? If so, which feature is it? Or perhaps some other reason?

Don't think anyone has mentioned ICS's ability to monitor data usage at the app level. I more than doubled my data usage when I stepped up to 4g, and it would be kinda nice to be able to figure out where it was coming from.

Can the facelock be defeated with a picture of your face?

I don't have any pictures of myself laying around to try this, but I tested it with my twin brother and he was able to unlock my phone with his face. I guess we really do look alike.

I have read a few forums that say a picture of you can be used to unlock your phone, although this is the first "twin testing" I've heard being done on Face Unlock
