What exactly is the point of rooting the NS4G?

Won't rooting allow tethering of 4G vs just the 3G, which is free THANK YOU SPRINT!,???
Also, capturing screen shots???
Those are the only two reasons why I am considering rooting my phone. Otherwise, I am enjoying stock vanilla!!!

Also, that everything was erased kind of sucked but I think I have everything back to the way it was before!

Wireless tether for root works good for tethering 4G.

Titanium backup so you don't have to manually restore all your apps if you decide to change roms.

I used it. Love it and will donate once I figure out where or how.

BTW: What roms do you maintain and battery tweaks? I'm brand new to android and am greener than the color itself. Came from a Palm Pre that was regretfully dying. Hope to get back there "IF" HP ever gets it together. Until then..........

actually for the ns4g i dont do any roms (how could i compete with the likes of cm and miui )

but adamg is an acs member and he does oxygen rom, dreamsforgotten just put out his very first rom and im helping him with it. for my own roms i try to focus on the prepaid community, as they dont get a lot of the attention that the big phones carry so its nice to give them a hand .

as for the battery tweak you can find it in the acs updater app or on xda/acs forums

I'd grab Setcpu to underclock when the screen is off and/or battery is low. Most phones I rooted for free wireless tether, but this phone is more out of boredom and to see how far I can stretch the battery
