AC Question

I want to use my Android smartphone, among other things, also for listening to music and audio programs and for hands-free phone calls. Let's assume I get some set of external headphones that will enable me both. Imagine I have the headphones on my head and I am listening to my music in a noisy outdoor environment. And exactly at such moment someone rings me up.

What technical feature, mode or other technical arrangement do I need:

a) to hear the ringer in my headphones
b} to be able to switch the music off automatically simply by answering the incoming call?

Any your kind piece of advice will be most appreciated.

Your phone doesn't ring in the headphones? And automatically pause the music (and unpaus efter)...? IIRC all my phones have done that (WP, Android, etc).
Which phone and Android version is it?

Thank you for your help. I just want to buy a first smartphone in my life, so I want to know exactly what features I want. If I understand you well, in all modern smartphones with external headphones the music will automatically pause when you receive an incoming call. Am I right?

Welcome to Android Central.

Generally calls are given priority by default.

You csn adjust notification sounds, call and media (music / games) volume levels are separated in Settings, you can have vibration on, set individual tones for certain callers etc.

If you need advice on devices let us know. In my personal opinion, the Samsung (Touchwiz) menu layout made it easier when I first started 3 years ago. Things have changed a little after Android 4.4, but I would recommend them until you want a purer form of Android.
