What google pixel's "Pixel" reffers to??

How that name matching with the smartphone features! Is nexus a good name!

It was first used for Google's high end Chromebook, then for their most recent tablet (the Pixel C). It's just a name, like "Nexus"--it doesn't have to refer specifically to any feature of the phone.
