What happened to all the features such as Translate?

Now that we have the Google Assistant when I long press the home key I no longer see options like we had before including translate. How do I get that stuff back?

Thanks but I can't figure out how to get it to translate whatever is on the screen which it used to be able to do

I can't believe Google got rid of the screen contextual help that Google Now had. Google assistant is many steps backwards

Oh, that! If you open Assistant and hit the menu button, you can go to Settings. There you should see a toggle for 'Use screen context'. That should bring it back.

The translate function which was at the bottom right of the contextual screen is no longer there and the contextual help is pretty worthless

They will be adding missing Google Now features in future Assistant updates. It is in a transition period at the moment

Its 2018 and I still want to know where is the translate button on google assist...
