I'm wondering if Google dropped support for the turn-by-turn directions I used to get in Google Maps.
Today, I only see a tiny map, about 1½" by 2½", while the lower half of the screen is devoted to ordering an UBER. The phone does track my position, but does not provide spoken directions, and barely pans the tiny map to keep pace with the car, often leaving me lost in new places.
I'm running on an HTC6525LVW, or HTC One M9 on Verizon, if it matters.
How do I get the spoken directions again and get rid of this stupid UBER ordering?
It may be that Google has started defaulting Maps to the "Rides" option and hiding the icon for driving one's own vehicle off-screen, to the left. Rather insane that the phone demands you get an UBER when you're already in a car driving along the highway.
Thank you!
