What Happens When GPS Can't Be Found

At one point I saw the Note 2 was using more memory/ram and as a result there were things I couldn't see like pictures from match.com. I'd see the first one and then I couldn't see anything after that. And now since shut off location services the amount of used memory went down by a third and I can see all those pictures I couldn't see before and the phone is as cool as a cucumber and battery life is longer.

Is there a question here somewhere? A lot of apps (especially social media) use location tracking/logging. I don't know what apps you have, but turning off location probably stopped those apps from accessing the internet.
