What have you found in froyo?

I see we have usb tehering on froyo 2.2 is free or do it cost like the wireless hot spot? hav anybody used it yet?

I see this option but it is grayed out. How do you enable it or is it a Sprint thing to keep it disabled?

One thing I'm amazed at, unless someone here can point me in the right direction:

The car panel, which replaced navigator, STILL doesn't orient itself horizontal when using it in landscape mode. Is there something I'm missing?

Same here. It does not switch to landscape.

Is your phone plugged into a computer? The option shouldn't be grayed out if it is.

Ok, its not a big deal, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has noticed this... Before, when I would receive a txt msg with a pic attached to it, I was able to view it and hit the pause button to stop the pic from closeing. Now with the update, when I have a pic attached to a txt msg, and view it, when I hit the pause button, the pic goes black and I can't view it. Anyone else have this happen ?

sd issues while car charging

I wanna add my name to the list of people having problems in their car. I don't see why i shouldn't be able to listen to music while charging my evo in my car, but alas my sd unmounts and goes AWOL... any input would be awesome

Mine seems to work fine with a palm pre car charger and usb mode default set to charge

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I discovered a new feature. If you go into your app drawer and long press an app then drag it to the trash but don't let go right away it'll uninstall the app for you if you decide to let go once prompted to do so.

I noticed that when I get a new email in GMail it opens the message when I click on the icon but opens to the message list when there's more than one. Was that mentioned already?

In gmail you can have things automatically labeled via a rule or label them as you go. These now show up with the correct color and label.

If you accidentally touch the wrong link in the browser, you can quickly touch the right link and it will go to the new link. Before the browser would go to the first touched link no matter what you did to try to redirect it.

Deleting words added to your Android dictionary used to be deleted by just pressing an "X" next to the word you wanted to delete while in that option... Now you haev to actually press Menu, Delete, and then select what words you no longer want.

Also, when using Voice to Text, the Microphone used to display a Green/YEllow/Red color scheme depending on how loud the microphone picked up sound. Now, it's just solid white color...

Idk if this was in Eclair or not but I just realized today you can scroll in the browser with the volume keys, but it probably was already there...

I don't remember seeing this before, but on the HTC calendar widget, for any all day appointments, there's a green dot at the very top of the bar on that day. The bar on any particular day shows a better representation of how many events or timed events you have for the day at a glance. Its a nice addition, that wasn't there before.

i don't know if this has been mentioned yet (i checked the first post and i don't know if it's a complete list that's being added to as people reply) but there's now an option to have audio when you lock and unlock the phone.
(actually, i'm not sure if this is new with froyo or if i've just never noticed before.)
also, i've noticed that my ringtones and notifications are divided by ones that came with the phone and ones that i downloaded. before it was in alphabetical order.
