What I don't like about the S4. What's your list?

Step into sunlight and tell me how well your screen fairs.

Go out for a day and use your camera throughout the day (as the S4 is advertised to do) and see where your battery gets when you hit the bar or go to a sports game (or just stay out late) and need your battery to live until 5 or 6 in the morning.

Try calling someone and enjoy the 5-second lag time of S-Voice between the command "Call Home" and the response S-Voice gives.

The list goes on, and yet you say these things are "absurd". I never said I don't like the phone. I very clearly stated right away that I enjoy the phone, and this thread was purely to post about things that I don't like about it. If things don't get better, I'll likely look at an iPhone in the future, but for now I'm fine with the phone overall.

Although Fantom305 could've been a little harsh, he's also right.

For the screen on the sun, it has happened to me with different devices. That's why you can use yourself or the other hand to be against the sun and be able to see your display.

All the resent smartphones including the iPhone 4 that I've used had an empty battery after a day of taken many pictures, the beach, the park a family reunion and so on. Those friends with an iPhone 5 have also suffered the same fate.
In this case I like that you could replace the battery on the GS4 (that's one of the reasons I feel like the GS4 is for me instead of the HTC One)

I've seen lag with siri on the iPhone and with other speech recognition devices! Never seen one that is immediate.
Anyway, just don't use S-Voice.

Lastly, yes, you are right to say your thread was to post the things you dislike about your device. However you are in a forum and you had to know there were going to be a lot people giving their own opinion.

Personally I appreciate you taking the time to write about it because it helps people like me who are about to buy a new phone and need to learn everything we can about the different devices we are looking at.

Thank you for posting your thoughts. I have the HTC One and keep considering the S4. I went to purchase the S4 the other day to test them both side by side but was informed that Costco only sells phones under contract (new or an upgrade). So now I need to decide if it is worth the hassle of dealing with someplace like Best Buy.

The only thing that I don't like is when the phone rings it is very quiet for a couple of seconds and then rings loud. I am hoping that there is a way to get it to ring loud from the start.
