What if those that have scheduled appointments with the corporate stores for the 15th show and they say it is not for sale? and they do not inform us? Is there any recoarse?

I was called by the corporate store manager and he scheduled the appointment on Tuesday. Today, Wednesday, I called and voiced concerns on nothing official. He said he was 100% positive it would be on sale tomorrow at 9am.

I told him I would be taking off work for a few hours in the morning and that it better not change. A couple hours for me is $200. If i don't leave with a phone in the morning, I will be asking for my $200/

Re: What if?

I would just call them in the morning before leaving work or check online to see if the phone has been released. I don't think you will get anything from them if you show up and they still can't sell it, but who knows. Better yet if it's released just pick one up on your next day off and save the $200 which you can use towards the phone.

Re: What if?

A few hours (3 to be exact) is over $300.00 for me, not that it matters but I somehow felt that needed to be said in this thread. O_o

None! There is no recourse. If you want to take off work and lose money to go pick up the phone then you should wait for Verizon to make a announcement, without that then your making your own bed.

Re: What if?

If i was making $100/hour I wouldn't leave work.

Re: What if?

I would not take any time off work unless its guaranteed to release. Even then I would send an employee to wait and call me when he is in the store. ;)

Re: What if?

A couple of hours is 2k for me. I also drive a Porsche, have a 13" reproductive organ and am currently dating a supermodel.

Re: What if?

Soo.. I think I will go camp out at VZW all night in hopes to get a shinnnny Nexus tomorrow :-p

Re: What if?

That is what I am saying a Corporate Store manager schedules it. You tell him you are taking off work to get it, you ask for a call if anything changes, then BOOOM no phone for you.

Hell I even have a voicemail with him saying to come get the phone on Thursday.

Seems like there would be some recourse or offer if they screw this up.

Re: What if?

i just called my local Orlando Verizon store. In stock and definitely being Sold when they open tomorrow. They confirmed $299 for new Lines. In stock and ready to go.

Re: What if?

Don't think the voice mail will hold up in court :p

Just think every doctor and dentist would be broke paying for people waiting in their lobbies.

Re: What if?

As a male prostitute, I get paid by the hour and time is certainly money to me as well.
I make $500/ hour and I will have to reschedule some clients to make sure I can get to Verizon when they open.

Actually, as much fun as it is to make fun of the poster...the manager is the fool who is "guaranteeing" he will have it on X day at X time.

Re: What if?

my unemployment check will be the same if it comes out or not I just hope they take food stamps to cover what the check doesn't for the phone
