Android Central Question

i have a pixel 3a that apparently has a 9ms audio latency. that is very low is is what works well for recording audio in apps like cubasis and zenbeats. what other phones have this low latency? how would i find out if a phone has this low latency?

I've never heard anything about latency specs. I'm curious how you are planning to use it, and how latency makes a difference.

I know the LG V-series was marketed towards content creators, but that was more about the audio quality with its hi-fi recording and not even they mentioned latency. Unfortunately LG has left the phone scene and your only option would be to buy a used one. The V60 is the most recent in the line.

I downloaded the free version of the app on my V60. Here's a few calibration screenshots. I will say the first couple of calibrations had well above 12ms latency times, which may have been due to background processes running. After a minute or so, it seemed to settle in around these ranges. Not sure if you'll want to actually seek out this phone, but it's another sample point for your consideration.

If anyone else wants to help out, here's the free version. You can find the calibration option in the main settings menu.

Thanks for helping out here

Yes, thanks Mooncatt for your reply. 91ms is a bit too high to use. I wish there was a easier way of finding out. Pixel phones are some of the best it seems. But they dont have the microsd card slot (and the software i want to run will not work without a sd card slot).

I thought the top number was the total latency from all samples, and you were concerned with the average per sample latency. Either way, I wish you luck.
