You’re kidding right? Comparing what Apple does vs what Google does. With Google you are the product. With Apple you are the customer. Go read the privacy policies. I did. Every word, before I switched.

As for the App makers go, that is not on Google or Apple. I suspect most of the data sent on the iOS device is for apps. The big difference between the two is what Apple vs Google harvest.

As an example, Apple is unable to response to a Geo fenced location warrant from law enforcement because they don’t collect the data.

Android without Google play is mostly useless except for some edge cases. An average user is not an edge case.
