What is a really good multiple email app?

And do those kind of apps slow the phone down significantly? I would just use the Gmail app or something but unless I'm missing something I don't want to sync all these different accounts since I cant just get the Gmail service when adding an account.

I use the Samsung app and K9 - either works for my 5 email accounts without slowing anything. (My fingers are more a problem than the apps.)

I am looking for an android email app as well. Do the apps you recommend use third party servers? I am not too happy with the concept of having my email sit not only on Yahoo or Google's servers, but also on another third party server as well. I certainly don't want to have them sitting anywhere else other than my phone. I avoid push notification for this reason. I heard Blue Mail is pretty good in this regard. Your thoughts?

Well I use the MailDroid app ;-) Ok, yes, I am biased, but it has been around a long time on the Play Store.
