What is an AB File and How Can I Open It's Contents?

Hi Android Central Users,

I was able to copy the contents of my Samsung Tab 2 10.1 and came across an AB file associated with an APP. What is this file? How can I open/extract the contents of this file? What Windows 10 Program can I use to access this content?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
