So a while back (months) I had about 20gb out of 32gb filled and it was fine, I know I have some games that take up a lot of space but then it was 26-27gb and so I decided to see what was taking up so much space.

I know apps took a big spot but I saw something else taking space, "other". So I went to manage space and saw two things taking up gigabytes of space, others were mere megabytes or kilobytes.

I deleted one as it was residual of an app I uninstalled and reinstalled which freed up 2gb.

There another folder taking up gigabytes and it's called .estrong but want to know if I can delete it or is it one of those needed foundations so to speak?

Yes, still have it, ah now I know what was all that memory, dang recycle bin

.estrongs is the recycle bin with es file Explorer app. Empty the recycle bin to delete these files. You can disable the recycle bin in setting to stop this happening again.

Re: Other "other...

If you want to delet the anoying heavy .estrongs file you CANNOT doit using a typical app browser such as es file explorar or the like. The right method is the following: Go to android settings, then go to storage, after that you will see a bar showing you tour available space un your internal memory storage and below thst bar a list showing individually what kind of files ar occupying most of the space in your internal storage, click the one who says "misc" and then you filo find the .estrongs folder wish typically holds several GB of space un tour internal storage, and just select it and deleat it

I found out how to delete it, too. I just plugged my phone into my computer. My phone was automagically mounted and showed up on my desktop. I used the file manager to navigate to the folder containing .estrongs, clicked on .estrongs, and hit the delete button.
