.....and does the DInc have a maximum upload speed?

I ask the second question because my DInc will fare no better than a 0.98mbps upload speed. I can have download speeds anywhere from 2mbps to 12mbps but the upload will always be no more than 0.98mbps.

Just ran mine on both wifi and 3G.

Wifi (with my 16 Mbps comcast connection):
4.79 Mbps down / 2.30 Mbps up

3G (3 out of 4 bars showing):
1.08 Mbps down / 0.80 Mbps up

Ran speedtest a few days ago and got these results

Test Date: Mar 11, 2011 12:57:45 am
Connection Type: Cell

Download: 2327 kbps
Upload: 724 kbps

That was using 3G No wifi

Ok, so why is it my DInc cannot upload faster than 0.98mbps regardless of what cell signal or WiFi I use?

Best I've gotten on a 3G signal (dl and ul are from different tests)

Download - 1875 kbps
Upload - 876 kbps

That's where I live in Kalispell, MT. I don't have internet so I can't test wifi my phone is my internet, to bad verizon isn't truly unlimited cause I blow threw the 5GB pretty quick.

I saw the Thunderbolt on Phonedogs video upload at over 20mbps! On 4G.... Everytime he did a speedtest, the upload was faster than download.

Ok, back to this thread..... I don't get why I cannot break the 0.98mbps threshold when uploading.

These are all different servers I tried, and get widely varying results on download speed, but stay very consistent on upload speed. Tonight is even lower than usual...

The speedtest app doesn't work for LTE. The fastest upload I've been able to get is 3.74 Mbps. Now the fastest download I've gotten was 34.65 Mbps.

Hmmm, seemed to work for the guy on the Phonedog video just fine...

Yes it "appears" to work but the numbers are wrong. Trust me, there is a whole thread in the Thunderbolt forum on just speed tests. We've come to the conclusion that the LTE radio must throw it off for some reason. We went to the actual speedtest.net site and got much more consistent results as well as turning on mobile hotspot and going through speedtest.net on laptops.

The download speeds are actually much faster and the upload speeds are much slower. I consistently get 25-30 Mbps down and about 3 Mbps up.
