What is needed for HDMI out on the Note 3

If it's movies and TV apps, YouTube videos or any videos you use this for then chromcast is the way to go... Love chromcast. No wires, plus you can still do anything you want with your phone while your streaming to your TV.

Note 3 SIZE IS EVERYTHING

Using a Google Nexus 7 (2013) and a Panasonic TH-50PX75U TV the cable works for 2 minutes
then the picture rolls vertically and blanks out.

Using the same tablet and a different HDMI cable I connected an NEC Multisync EA243WM.
After working for 2 minutes the display blanks out then shows the message:
"Out of Range"

Just thought I'd update, after trying the official samsung s4 cable a few more times and on different tellys, it kept doing that cut out/off of the network signal so I sent it back to amazon and had another look, wanted to try the maxah cable that people described but wasn't in the uk amazon store so I sent off for " MHL 2.0 to HDMI Cable with Built-in USB Cable for Samsung Galaxy S3/S4 & Note2 in White 2m " from Cable Matters " on amazon, works flawlessly with stock charger/adapter...can now enjoy my phone on the telly :-D

I am having an old tv so I have to connect through rca cable only....Please help me to solve the issue. Do I need to use mhl adapter or mhl cable..
Please say whether this connection will work
