What is proxy processor and could it be causing my recent troubles?

I need help with this... Anyone with any idea please help
My Wifi is automatically switching itself off even while in use. Plus, I keep getting a notification saying ProxyProcessor has stopped, and "do not disturb" mode also keeps switching on by itself. The three problems started around the same time so they could be related. I recently got Netguard app and uninstalled a few hours later. Could it have left a glitch?

Hello, I have a budget Chinese phone.
And I found a recent development. When i check my applications, I can now see ProxyProcessor listed there. I suspect that it is adware, but have found nothing about it online

I suspect it's the same as the system app called PacProcessor, as described here: https://github.com/ukanth/afwall/wiki/System-Applications-to-block-or-allow. It is unlikely to be malware.

What's the brand and model of the phone? I'd try wiping the cache partition -- hopefully there's a method described on the web somewhere.

It actually was some form of adware. Annoying ads kept popping up on my screen while I was running other applications, and even worse, on my homescreen. When I performed a factory reset, it didnt help. I must have reinstalled it somehow from my backed up files. Eventually, when I it started to show up on my list of apps, I was able to see its permissions, and capabilities which were a huge neon sign shouting "Malware!!" After uninstalling it all my problems have been resolved.. Wifi stays on, do not disturb mode doesnt activate until prompted, and the only annoying ads I'm still trying to dodge are the ones from Touchpal.
Long story short, thanks B.Diddy for not ignoring my call for help.

I wonder what app it was associated with -- adware often gets installed alongside some other app (often a game).

I can't tell. The only app I installed recently was Taxify. But I doubt that it's the culprit
