Trying to find out what this service does and if freezing it will affect anything.
As for wifi service, I have wifi timer and sleep setting turned off. How can I freeze it? I already have the ti backup, but there is nothing with wifitimerservice.
Thanx.

edit: freezing syncmlsvc causes my phone to stay awake.

Based on a Google search, syncmlsvc appears to be a Samsung service for syncing the calendar, contacts, etc.Probably interacts with Kies.

In settings, there a control that lets you set a time to turn wifi on and off automatically at certain times of day. I suspect that's what wifitimerservice is for.

How can I stop the wifi one from working?

go into System settings- under wireless and network settings choose - more settings/ mobile networks then turn off connections optimizer. Should solve your problem.

It has been off
If not the connections optimizer then this is what you want.
Go to settings/wifi and then press the menu button, then choose advanced. You can turn off Wifi timer there and make sure 'keep wifi on during sleep' is set to always.

That has been set to always also. The process still runs

Did you make sure the Wi Fi Timer setting is off? (Settings / WiFi, menu button, advanced) Not sleep, but wifi timer. If it's off, try turning it on, exit the menu., then go back and turn it off again.

If that doesn't help, and wifitimerservice is still running, I'm not sure what you can do unless you're rooted. Have you rebooted? That should stop the process, but might not keep it from restarting.

I have tried everything, nothing makes it stop. I am rooted

If you're rooted, then the simplest thing is probably to use Titanium Backup to freeze the wifitimerservice application. If it doesn't show up in TiB. then use a root file editor, like ES File Explorer, to find the file and rename it with .bak on the end.

nothing like that is in the apps folder

might be caused by an unruly app. Boot the phone in safe mode and see if it still happens. Get into safe mode by tapping the menu soft key as the phone boots. If it doesn't happen (in safe mode) then an app is the cause. If it still happens then maybe a factory reset is in your future.

for some reason i cant use safemode. every time i get into it, touchwiz crashes over and over and its not letting me do anything.
Stas, I'm just curious, are you on a custom rom or stock?
stock rooted odex mb1 rom

It's a system fuction, so it wouldn't be in the apps folder. Use a root file explorer to look around in the system directories. The filename might start with com., too. I'm swamped with work right now, but if I get a chance I'll see if I can find it.
