What is the 4 pin connector used for?

I really want a video out dock. The four pin "should" be able to handle video out to HDMI.

I'd love a dock for my Nexus 7. I'd buy one for my bedside table and one to put next to my computer monitor.

I'm definitely getting the dock when it comes out. I like clock mode, it's gonna look nice on my desk.

Definitely annoyed that the dock does not have HDMI out. I wouldn't mind another $50 to find a dock that lets me stream to my TV.

Just put the app ultimate rotation control on your nexus 7. Its free and it works great.

Thanks - have been wondering how to get past the Portrait feature - have been getting adept at reading things sideways when it goes back to home after sitting.
You mentioned that it is "free" and it currently is showing "free" for 7 days, then pay the 2.99.
thanks again

It is an application that can make your home screen go sideways.

To get the Home screen to rotate I downloaded Rotation Locker. It's free but it is working. You have to long press on the Auto setting to get it running in the background, Auto alone doesn't do it. It wasn't working when I looked up what it was called but I did the long press on Auto and it's working again, can't explain what shut it off, I've been trying too many cures to too many issues, I probably shut it off somehow. Ultimate Rotation works too, but it is a 7 day free trial and then it is $2.99 to keep it alive.

So what about youtube videos can you watch that in landscape mode?

Yes, when you launch Rotation Locker app, you?ll get three options: portrait, landscape or auto, and you can choose the one you find convenient for a particular app.

If it's the same as the galaxy nexus then we will never see the dock. Yes I am still pissed about that.

I agree. I am VERY upset that they're not using this feature. Was going to install one in my car for my phone. Ridiculous.

I still think the best equivocation of the three pogo points on the GNex was to the three seashells in Demolition Man. Unfortunately, with the four points on the N-7 we no longer have the same bad jokes to sustain us through the waiting (and continued waiting for Verizon phones).
