Best replacement battery for galaxy tablet Tab S2 8 inch I plan to put it in myself , I need to buy the best battery ..as my tablet doesn't hold a charge very long , anymore

I was trying the same thing but everything I read about it says you can't replace the battery in the s2

You are correct. The Tab S2's battery is not user replaceable. You need special tools.

WTH. The S2 8.0 can't be more than 18 months old. How can your battery be dying so soon?

My SM-T713 is just a month old. For me, an hour of active usage uses up 10% of battery. That is 10 hours of active-use battery life? Standby uses maybe 1% over night. This is almost iPad-like battery life, imo. I keep the location service off and only turn it on when absolutely necessary. I keep the wifi on all of the time. I usually keep bluetooth off, but i do not notice any appreciable battery loss if the bluetooth is left on all day. I keep the display brightness at near minimum.

The battery in my S2 9.7 seems to have died after 13 months of ownership.

The day before the Nougat update came to my S2 9.7 (Monday for me) my battery stopped charging almost completely.

Funny thing is that it didn't slowly go out - I set it to charge one night and woke up to only 3% battery left.

Fast=Forward to today and it's been on the Samsung supplied charger for close to 36 hours and is just now at 38% - and the tablet has been off the whole time!

Of course my 1 year parts/labor warranty through Samsung ran out almost 6 weeks ago.

It's a damn shame because with the exception of the sharp edges on the body I absolutely LOVE the tablet.

Not really looking forward to replacing the battery as I will likely damage the tablet getting it apart.

It looks easy and here is a battery that appears to be OEM, comes with the "special" tools and is less than half the cost of the one in the video.

That post was two years ago. He's either replaced the battery by now, or got a new tablet.
