Easiest way to share photos from a Note 4? Texting isn't cutting it...

Here's the backstory, I'm a long time iPhone user, the Note 4 enticed me to switch rather than upgrade to a iPhone 6+. I'm getting used to it and like it overall, still have some gripes with the OS and feel but I'm working on digesting some stuff.

On my iPhone, I was able to attach multiple pictures through text message/iMessage, the phone didn't care how many I sent. Typically I would send 5-6 at a time, sometimes more. I regularly send pics of the kids to my parents and wife multiple times a day.

When I try this on my Note 4 I get errors, sometimes even when sending just 2 pictures in one message, 'unable to attach file - try email, bluetooth etc...'. This is getting to be beyond frustrating since it takes time to attach the photo to a message, system 'adds it to the slideshow' then 'converts to MMS' before I'm able to hit send, and if they are too big I don't know it until I get the error. I can't be doing this over 5-6 individual texts. Very time consuming.

I've been looking up 'cloud' alternatives but I get hit with data bandwidth and storage limits unless I want to pay. Since I already pay for data I don't feel the need to add more money on top for more storage.

So it boils down to a simple question. What is the easiest way to consistently share many photos from the Note 4 to other people who have iOS and Android devices? I'd like it to be as easy as following a link in a text instead of a bunch of intensive setup and use due to my parents and other family not being power mobile users. It was easy for them to open a text and see photos.

Thanks for looking!

text messages and iMessages are totally different things. Text messages use the old paging protocol, which limits messages to 160 characters. Sending a picture is done by uploading the picture file to your carrier's MMS server, and a link to that file to the message recipient. The carrier has a maximum file size for a single message's attachments. What you're doing is evidently exceeding that limit.

iMessage is a protocol owned by Apple, so only they can use it. They set the maximum file size, so it can be as large as they want, regardless of any carrier restrictions. (It counts as data, though, on your data plan. Oh, and "unlimited data", in case you have it, doesn't mean "at full speed". You get a few GB at full speed every month, then the speed goes down to something like dial-up. You can use as much data as you have the patience to wait for.)

So to update. I got most family to get on WHATSAPP and that's been working great.

I also signed up with Flickr for more permanent pics.

I have the EXACT same issue! We have been iPhone users for so long and I wanted to try something new and different. I love the phone, but between the email, work email and picture attachments... those are the things I use most and work the worst on this Android. We just came back from Vegas and everyone has shared their pictures... up to 11 at a time except for me. So for I have sent about 10, with them being one at a time. I have tons to send out to the family since we love to share our pics. So I am in the same boat and would love to find an easy way to do this because they are losing faith in the fact that they aren't getting all my pics.. and my camera is far better than theirs!!! I've tried different apps but to send a group of pictures was super slow and we ended up cancelling and deleting the app anyways. I will be seeing them often, so if there is even an approach for being close together and sharing, please let me know. I loved the air drop on Apple but obviously that won't help here!! Thanks!

Whatsapp has been the most seamless solution, but you have to get your family on board with using it.

After owning the Note 4 since launch, I'm honestly ready to get back to an iPhone. I'm busy and don't have time to be a slave to making things work.
