I have tried airdroid, but the app need to be install on all the devices to transfer file.

Is there a way to transfer files similar to airdrop between any platform?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you count Google Drive as a hosting service? Google Drive is accessible via any browser, so it wouldn't require installing the app. The file transfer wouldn't be quite as fast as a direct transfer -- you'd have to upload it to Google Drive on the source device, then access Drive on the target device, locate the file, and then download it there.

I don't think so. As you probably know, Airdrop is proprietary and is only for Apple products. Android's Nearby Share (soon to be rebranded Quick Share due to collaboration with Samsung) is only available for Android, ChromeOS, and Windows (the latter of which requires a specific Windows app): https://support.google.com/files/answer/10514188?hl=en#zippy=

You may want to look into AirDroid, but I suspect they also have to use a hosting service: https://www.airdroid.com/personal/file-transfer-management/
