What is the good case for this phone

I just ordered these...wanted an all black one and finally found one I liked

I just received my Nillkin Frosted case from amazon and think its the cats meow! Great low profile snug fit, good grip texture and all ports are accessible except SIM slot which Im just fine with. It especially looks nice on my Copper Z3! I also ordered the Nillkin Tempered H+ Glass which actually fits very well with the case on or off. Quite psyched on both

Tech 21

Yeah, I have a Tech21 Tactical on my Z1s and it is a nice case. The only problem with it was it covered the magnetic charging port. Otherwise it was well padded on the inside and didn't interfere with the overall physical design if the phone. Also made the phone much easier to hold!

They are working on it for the Z3 but not available yet.....hopefully soon.

Tech 21

I contacted Tech21 about the Tactical and they responded it should be coming available about now. The bad news is they also advised me that the magnetic charging port would NOT be accessible. This is a bummer and the only complaint I had about the case when I used the Tactical with my Z1s. I suspect it has something to do with their built in shock absorption system.

Oh well......decisions......I really like the case but it is pricey for something I might not be totally happy with. I have more choices with the Z3 versus the Z1s.

I've got this case too. LOVE it as the buttons aren't covered. I had another case that covered them and the feel of the phone and use of the camera button was second rate. Can't recommend this case enough.

Yeah the Nillkin case is the bomb!! I cant speak on the magnetic dock but it does work with the magnector x cables..although not a perfect fit the magnet is very strong and holds tight. Plus the cable can go everywhere..in your car, bedroom etc..

Docks always seem like a good idea but seem to always be flimsy and finicky in the end IMO.

I actually picked one up from my work yesterday. It does add some bulk nothing too major but definitely can be considered more than the average case, but definitely like the added grip. It looks very sleak which I like. It's by far the best case I have out of the three I've gotten.

I'm using the Casemate Barely There case on my Z3 and it's a lovely case, plus it works with my Z1 dock for magnetic charging and I've read that it works with the Z3 dock to so I may get that dock as well

Just curious, why a power case? I've been getting excellent battery life from my Z3, makes it through a heavy use day with about 30% remaining and with normal - light use I can go 2 days without a charge.

messed with the tech 21 case (https://www.tech21.com/classic-tactical-z3-case-black.html) @ Tmobile today. Liked it alot, but covered the mag charging so the hunt continues. Using a Ringke FUSION, smoke color currently - works excellent with mag charging dock and mag cables, but like others have pointed out, the case is really weak at the mag charger mini usb charger section (the top edge that rests on the front glass). Although I dont see this degrading the protection it provides. Was waiting to see what Spigen came out with but its the same as the Ringke FUSION - but blocks the mag charging, so I passed. Still debating the Love Mei case (posted on page one of this thread) but its a larger case.

I picked up a Incipio Dual Layer case today. It's better than the Tech 21 in terms of less bulk. It has great protection and added grip. Only downside is that it covers up the magnetic charger.

Got the Nillkin case today... Pretty darn solid - fits like a glove. however, it has the same issue most have reported - the floppy part near the mag and micro usb charging.(but its better then the Ringke). Also, the cheap mag chargers i bought do not fit - the cut out is very tight. If I was going to continue use with this case, I would have to find smaller mag chargers... Other then that, this is the best bumper hybrid ive ever used. Its a bit thicker (1mm) than the Ringke case, but certainly more protective then cases of this Ringke/bugdroid style. Another small issue, is that the phone seems to be easily pressed out of the case, some im a little concerned that a drop would actually eject the phone. I have noticed it when im holding the case, and light presses will make the phone pop out a bit, not alot, just enough for me to be concerned. You cant really tell by the photos but each corner has a small raised notch, nice addition to absorb drops. Not sure im a fan of the open back, but I have until the Love Mei case arrives to use it - the Love Mei is going to be the daily driver for this fragile beast

Very sturdy - you would not be disappointed in this 9$ case
(as long as you can find a mag charger that fits - if you care about that.)
