What is the magic to charging the ASUS?

can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

My ASUS wont charge off another computer via USB (though it says in the instructions it will) and it wont charge using any other USB wall plug other than that supplied with the unit.

Since the one supplied is a crappy piece of plastic rubbish and the plastic prong keeps falling off I guess I am going to have to buy 10 of them from ASAUS.

Anyone else having this problem?

cheers

I thought you cant charge using regular usb you need to plug into wall because normal usb doesnt give enough power

I tried using a wall USB socket, for instance my blackberry one and it still doesn't work, has anyone been able to charge with anything other than the manufacturuer supplied wall socket?

cheers

Thats because the blackberry adapter gives normal usb power output which is not sufficiant for the tf 300

I'll echo what's already been said. I didn't think you could charge it using usb or with anything other than the supplied power cord.

ok thanks it looks like I was misinformed but the instructions definately say it ca be powered from another computer by USB and the retailer said any universial USB socket would work.

Is it maybe possible with the keyboard attached?

I have three different Android tablets and all three of them tell me that it won't charge sufficiently while plugged into a computer. As far as wall chargers go I think it will charge fine with a playbook charger, but not a phone charger which has a lower power input. Best thing to do is use the default charger.

Did you already try a usb 3.0 port ? I have read somewhere that they could give enough power
