What is the max # of bluetooth devices to be paired?

If searched here, there and every where for the answer for this Note 9, as well as my previous phones.
Is there a limit to the number of bluetooth devices that can be paired to one phone?

Asking how many different devices it will remember is like asking how many wifi configurations it can remember.

I would imagine that since the data for each different device would only be a few hundred bytes and you have a 128 or 512 gigabyte device it would be anywhere from 10-100 million devices theoretically.

I think it depends on how many will pair to the Bluetooth devices / Bluetooth headphones your using.

For me in my case my Bose Bt Headphones will allow up to 8 pairings.

The Galaxy Note 9 has Bluetooth 5.0 and thus connects to up to two devices simultaneously.

It looks like for audio you can pair 2 devices so 2 people can listen at the same time. Which I did not realize and never needed, but good to know.

It sounds like you can connect many different devices at once to it. I've only tried 2, my Gear S3 watch and headphones at the same time.

i have a watch and a pair of headphones almost permanently connected. when I get in my car, it disconnects the headphones

I thought using the word "paired" as opposed to "connected" was clear enough. Apparently I should have used the word "remembered", but the list is titled "paired devices".
