Android Central Question

Hello all,

Was wondering what is the biggest capacity of Micro SD that my Galaxy Tab S4 can handle? I have a 128GB in it just now but looking to upgrade. Some sites appear to suggest its only 400GB, whereas some say it can take upto 1TB. Would there would be any recommendations for a card ie, Sandisk, Samsung etc. Cheers

If a device can handle greater than 32GB, it can handle up to 2TB (which doesn't exist yet, so none of them have been tested with it, which is why you see devices listed as being able to use smaller ones). The protocol used (and the formatting), from 64GB to 2TB, is the same.

According to Samsung's own website, the Tab S4 can take a 400GB microSD card. Perhaps it could handle a bigger card, but you may also void the warranties on both the tablet and card....if that's something you care about.

I think that 400gb was just the size at the time of design testing and verification that they used. I know folks have 512 in them.
