Nexus 7 (2013)
Lollipop 5.0.2
Chrome browser

Occasionally an orange frame appears around the screen when using Chrome. Usually text is enlarged and only part of the web page is visible. The frame can be removed by changing from vertical to horizontal.

It's annoying. Google hasn't found any related complaints, so I'm probably using the wrong search terms.

Can anyone direct me to a helpful site?

The magnification feature in Android is the culprit. Tap the screen three times, you get the orange frame for magnification purposes. Tap it three times again, orange frame goes away. You can turn this off in the Android settings.

Pixel battery saver

The orange border on the Pixel is, as has been stated, the battery saver. Thanks for that. I'd neglected to lock the phone when I put it in my pocket and managed to turn on battery saver in the process.

Re: Reborder around the screen?

I had a red border on the top and on the bottom it was because I had battery saver on. Turn the battery saver off and you go back to the grey and black borders

Can you please help? my daughter-in-law and I both have a Note 4. We both have the same screen issue. There is an approx. 1.5 inch pale pink stripe all the way across the top, and toward the bottom of screen, my keyboard shows through in same color. This isn't a big issue except when I'm taking and viewing photos, then it's SO frustrating!! Anyone?

Android 7.1.1 / Galaxy Tab E / Samsung Experience v8.5

>Open Settings
>Tap Display
>In the Looking For Something Else? menu at bottom..
>Tap Vision
>Toggle Magnification Gestures off

This should prevent the zoom in and orange border that occurs when accidentally tapping the screen three times.

Note - If you wish to leave this feature turned on, to zoom out you can just tap the screen three more times.
