What is the shield icon on my status bar mean? How do i get rid of it. TIA.

This shield icon just suddenly appeared and when i click it, nothing happens it just there and it has no label or any indication of its use. I suspect it has something to do with my UC Browser, I think it appeared after i encountered an Ad while browsing, the type of Ad that has a ring tone. I also checked my antivirus app Hi Security, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with it.
