Re: TF is this?

Do you have ES file explorer installed? That app did that to me. It is most definitely an android app that installed some crappy adware on your phone, it isn't HTC.

Re: TF is this?

It also comes from Go Launcher or other "Go" apps.

Re: TF is this?

One of your apps updated and started using charge screen as their ad. Find the culprit, uninstall.

Re: TF is this?

I second it possibly being ES File Explorer.

Well Damn, I use both ES and Go SMS.. It has a turn off feature anyways so I'll just make use of it.. Thanks everyone

Like the rest said, definitely an app doing that. I just redid my phone and had to root it again. I used king root (yeah I should have known better) then all of the sudden that (or something VERY similar) started happening. the tricky part was, it didn't start right away. I think they build in a delay so you have a hard time tracking it down. I also noticed that Kingroot made itself a divide administrator to be able to do that, so if you go into your administrators, you might see the app that is causing it.

It's ES File Explorer.

One of its recent updates added a "Charging Booster" that does nothing but put ads on your lockscreen. Classic snake-oil.

Anyhow, they backtracked on it and released another update that removed it, but not before I uninstalled it and I'm looking for a great alternative.

Yep. I used to use them here and there but after that sneaky move -- no more.

I also used ES until that popped up on my 10, uninstalled that day and never looked back. HTCs file manager will do for my needs. I removed it from all the phones in the family also. Bad move by them. Easy way to lose users.
