I'm not sure what I'm missing here, but I can't for the life of me figure out what this compass looking icon is. I have the Sprint version of the HTC One. Tried toggling the Qualcomm GPS helper, the GPS itself, Google location services, and everything else on my phone. Nothing affects this icon, what is it for? The manual doesn't seem to help. I would appreciate some enlightenment on this, thanks!

Um isn't that the GPS notification?

Okay, disregard and delete this thread. It is the GPS. I'm not sure if it's a bug, but I toggled the exact same settings multiple times earlier and it did nothing. Oh well...

It is the GPS icon, but the question remains: Is there any way to get rid of this in any of the settings menus? Even on my old EVO 4G the icon was always up there. I don't think this is the case with AT&T, but why does Sprint insist on telling us when we are NOT using GPS? In that case, put every icon up there for any app not in use. Having a line strike through the icon isn't enough, I want it out for good. I've put Nova onboard so I can get rid of the bar entirely, but I shouldn't have to do that. The GPS icon and the Power saver notification widget are two inexplicably stupid things that HTC needs to allow us to opt-out of on their next OTA. Anyway, anybody know how to get rid of one or the other?
