What is with Samsung micro usb cables/wall chargers?

I have two Note 2 cables+ 2.0 amp wall charger transformers (the white ones) from my previous phones and for some reason they charge ungodly slow. When I mean slow, it takes close to 3 hours to charge my nexus 6 to full from 50%.

I don't get it. Is the wall charger that's ****ty? the cable?

On a second note, I plugged in a Galaxy Nexus cable into my Nexus 5 1.2 amp wall charger (lost the LG cable) and it too charges ungodly slow as well.

Wtf does Samsung do to their cables/wall chargers?

It's common for USB cables to go bad (even name brand cables), so I wouldn't rule that out until you try a known good cable.
