What is wrong with my tab 2 7.0?

[Android Central Question]

I've been using my galaxy tab 2 7.0 model GT-P3100 about 4 years already it still working fine. until a friend connected my tab to a local wifi, played for some times and there starts the problem. Looking at my tab the screen were like lagging and I restarted it hoping it was just a minor problem. but since then my tab keep stuck on the opening logo. I've tried hard reset on my tab several times and still the same. I charged the tab fully no problem. Did look at some youtube vids about disconnect the battery and connect it back again its still the same. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! It may just be coincidence that your friend was using the tablet around the time it started doing this. It sounds like either corrupt firmware or faulty hardware. Are you able to boot into Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-18895
