Android Central Question

The are devices all the way from 4" all the way to 6+" What size is your favorite?

Would you like me to move this to the General News & Discussion forum?

Okay.

Welcome as a new member. :)

I'm my own case, the device size is more important. When out and about, I like a small phone, so that means a 4" screen or a bit bigger.
At home, anything up to about 5.5" is okay for me.

Depends.

6" 2:1 is different than 6" 16:9.

I really love the size of the Galaxy S9's screen in that same form factor. It's the perfect size for viewing media and using comfortably without always having to use two hands.

Until recently it was a phone 5.2 -5.5 inches. However, my Huawei Mate SE achieves very similar dimensions to my Moto G5+ and Galaxy S7, only being a hair taller.

I think I've about tried most all screen sizes for extended periods of time and have arrived at my personal sweet spot of 5". A little smaller would also be fine. I've grown tired of big screens. To much to tote around.

Same for me. 5" is just right.

For sure. And for me at least, it'd be too bulky/big for my purse compartments. I like being able to spin my phone around in my hand to use it quickly and a big phone with my small hands and clumsy nature = bad! 🤣

4.8 please

It's the size of the Galaxy S3 which I though was the perfect size. Interesting tidbit below, it's a review from Android Treasure when the phone came out. I think the author would faint if he/she knew how big and clunky phones would become years later.

"The display on the Samsung Galaxy is a whopping 4.8 inches when measured diagonally. The display size is thus right up there in the top tier. Individuals who have small fingers may find it a tad bit uncomfortable to hold onto the smartphone, but such inconvenience can definitely be overlooked when you see the amazing quality of the videos and pictures on this device."

I have an iPhone 7 and have it as a backup device but the best feature I really like about it is the 4.7" screen size. Fits my hands and into a shirt pocket so easy, love that. Now if I could just load up Android P on it I'd be set.

Sorry for the random aside - but were you ever active on CrackBerry? Your username is very familiar!

Indeed I was for several years and still check it out on occassion. Speaking of nice compact devices, my BB Bold was a fave of mine. Off topic but anyway, my first device got me onto HoFo and I kept the same user name for every forum including some car/truck forums.

Awesome, I had thought I recognized your username from around the forums there! I had a white BlackBerry Bold 9780 that I loved and miss to this day! Those were very nice, reliable, and perfectly-sized phones.

And when you get a good username, why not stick to it? :)

Yeah the Bold was a sweet device, loved mine. Back then it seemed every new phone brought something new and exciting. These days not so much. I'd upgrade bout 4 times a year and was constantly buying and selling. Couldn't ever seem to get enough and always wanted something new. I recall paying $1059 for a Nokia E90 Communicator. I just wanted it before anyone else could get it. Was insane in 2007 to pay that. heck, I wouldn't pay that today for any phone. crazy stuff. Fun times tho. HoFo was the place to be for phone forums and trading info back then.

Which Bold did you have? I had the 9000 and the 9700.

I had the Nokia E61 and the E71 prior to those 2 BlackBerry devices.
