I've tried several different keyboards over the years including the stock keyboards, SwiftKey & Gboard and I always come back to Swype. IMHO nothing else compares.
I've always been this way too...except now I'm not so sure.
I like that Swype added the number row, but adding that takes away the little alternate characters from the rest of the keyboard...which doesn't make sense to me at all.
The swype-off-keyboard-to-capitalize feature was great...so why DID they drop that?
One thing Swype does that I haven't seen in others is when you finish typing a word, if you hit backspace it deletes the whole word instead of just the last letter. I wish others did that.
Editing the Case of a Word
Change the case of a word after you enter it by tapping the word and then swyping from the*"Swype key"*to the Shift key. A Word Choice List with capitalization options will display, allowing you to choose lower case, Capitalized, or ALL CAPS.
I was a longtime Swiftkey user, but when Gboard added emoji prediction a while back I switched to give it a chance. It has a lot of features I like, but sometimes the autocorrect is a little too aggressive. I'm still using it.
The number row can be turned off in the settings and it restores the alternate characters.

I felt the same, that SwiftKey had better predictions, but I'm finding that the longer I use Gboard, the better the predictions are. Which is I guess the way it should work, right?Gboard is much more smooth than Swiftkey now, but Swiftkey has better predictions. I had Gboard way back in the day when it first came out and loved it, Swiftkey stole my heart for a few years but it seems like Gboard is better now, with user experience.
What didn't you like about the LG one?
it felt very inaccurate, like the keys were too close together. i also didnt like how i had to press the emoticon key twice to get the list of emoticons to come up.
If you want different, try Flesky.Im trying panda. Its different
