Came from the BlackBerry Priv so downloaded the BlackBerry keyboard via Cobalt's BlackBerry Manager app.
Swiftkey is closest to the BlackBerry VKB, but I am used to the BB word substitution where I can map, for example, ure to you're.
That's due to BlackBerry licensing the engine from Swiftkey. I tried the BlackBerry VKB initially, but gave it up because it just wasn't the same as a BB10 device - it's missing the auto-color change depending on app color and the typing didn't feel the same. Swiftkey was okay until Google Keyboard gained a dedicated number row and long-press for symbols plus the ability to put in a background wallpaper of my choosing. Swiftkey has some pretty good themes, and I was very impressed with the animated ones (snow falling as you swipe on a Xmas theme! etc), but only a few are free and even the paid ones are limited in choice.
Swiftkey also lost me in the predictions department, which I thought was strange considering how extremely well the BlackBerry VKB works; the disparity was striking. Over time, Gboard has gotten as good or possibly a little better than BlackBerry, but still falls short for me in the substitution department. Overall, I'm sticking with Gboard for the ability to have long press for symbols and dedicated number row since I'm typing with those quite a bit - setting the duration to 180ms makes it faster than swiping down for symbols and numbers on the BlackBerry VKB (Swiftkey can do this too). It also has swipe left from the delete key to delete a word or sentence, which isn't as easy as BlackBerry swipe left anywhere to delete but good enough.
