What makes the Google Pixel so great?

Not sure what everyone sees in it. Isn't it just basically running stock Android like Nexus phones? Also the Pixel seems to have poor memory management, which makes it slower than other flagships with around the same specs.

The Pixel is $650. Why not get a Oneplus 3 or an Axon 7, both of which have high-end specs, for $250+ less? I guess I'm just trying to figure out why people like it. It just looks like an overpriced Nexus to me.

Day 12 now and seems to be fine with zero lag and memory issues. Not sure what you are getting at? Switched from a BB PRIV and also installed bb hub service fee and its pretty ace for a seemingly unflashy flagship!
